"I'll Make It Somehow," by Reverend J. F. Matthews, will bring a soulful reverence into you heart! The R&B texture to each song of praise makes you feel like you are in a joyful congregation and all that is missing is the Sunday choir. The back-up vocals were done very tastefully, and added a great deal if intensity to the music. If you are in need of a spiritual boost, or want something positive to listen to, Rev. Matthews has just the kind of music you may be looking for. Each song had a simple melody that allowed for the message to shine through. Some songs were about praising the Lord, others were a prayer for strength or forgiveness, and some were a tribute to the gratitude we should all feel for the many blessing we are given. The album felt all the more sincere with Rev. Matthew's dedication of his music to his son, James Matthews. "I'll Make it Somehow," was like a Sunday sermon, and by the time the album is through you may find yourself lifting your eyes to the sky in thanks. It is refreshing to hear an album full of hope, humility, and a reminding message to stay grateful.
